'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane dampens on Premier League homecoming

Kane achieves his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has revealed that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to explore a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year deal he agreed to when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.

The experienced forward has accumulated an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which represented the initial significant achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously expressed that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.

However, the England leader has now clarified that he is no longer as enthusiastic about coming back home as he once was, and would certainly contemplate lengthening his time in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he remarked.

"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, attaining the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had eluded him until he won the German title last season.

Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've demonstrated that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
